Ways to Honor Your Dog at Your Wedding

If you're not a dog person, we're likely not a you person (kidding, mostly).

If you're a proud pet owner, I think we can all agree that you treat your animals like family. So, what better way to honor them than to include them in one of the happiest days of your life? Sure, some couple choose to bring their pets along to the wedding for pictures (some coupes even go as far as to have them walk down the aisle), but let's face it, that's sensory overload - not all pets are obedient enough to have with us on our wedding day (ours included). If not with you on your wedding day, others choose to incorporate their pets in other ways.

You already know how giddy we get over stationary, but then add this wax seal with your dog on it?

STOP IT! Literally going to buy one of these today for our Christmas cards. I just need it, you do too!

Your cocktail napkins are an easy (affordable) and subtle way to incorporate your furbabies in your wedding. How cute is the 'wipe your paws' message on these? Pair your cocktail napkins with your dog-inspired signature drinks, and you've got quite a dog-gone time!

It's only fitting a pup-inspired cocktail is needed for your cocktail napkins, BUT the printed menu is taking your signature drinks to the next level! This is really a fun and unique way to bring your dog's presence into your wedding. Also, I'm curious what make a Lucy Vodka and Bailey Whiskey? We'll never know...

It's a win-win, koozies complete with an illustration of your beloved pet make for great favors that your guests will actually use. Some of our favorite koozies to this day, are those we've gotten from weddings.

Let's keep jazzing up your signature pup-inspired drinks, shall we? Embellish your drinks by adding a pet-inspired stir stick, talk about a conversation starter. This couple give a nod to their pup with drink stirrers that looked just like him (they were a hit)!

Who doesn't like cookies? These custom portrait pup cookies, BUT for the humans are the perfect night cap/late night snack for your guests, and double as a wedding favor.

A great way to incorporate more than one pet in your wedding, use each furry pet as table numbers. Bonus points if you get a hand drawn illustration of each pet, like the picture above.

Take the phrase 'doggie bag' literally, with a biscuit bar, allowing guests to take a treat to go for their beloved pet waiting at home. Because after all, we can't be the only one that feels obligated to get the dog something after a long day left at home.

If an illustration of your beloved pet doesn't feel like a big enough way to honor them during the bid day, that might be a sign you need to take the chance and bring them along. If on-site for your wedding, aside from pictures let them be apart of your ceremony as your 'Dog of Honor' (I know you've seen the pictures of the dogs walking down the aisle). Before you finalize your plan, be sure to check with your venue first, and make sure your pet has everything they need - including a pet sitter, that's a must! Keeping them comfortable will only make you appreciate their presence even more.
