If you're not taking advantage of the easy and convenient (and often free) way to communicate wedding day details with your guests, you're missing out! Very rarely to people go back and look at a wedding invitation or remember what they need to do, so making that information readily available is key.
Wedding websites should be both informative and reflective of your style, and story as a couple. For those who are new to creating a web page, the process can seem intimidating, BUT if you go through a site like Minted it will walk you through the steps.

Sure, creating a wedding website does add another item to your already long to-do list, but the pros of having one far outweigh the cons.
All of your wedding details will be stored in one place that guests can easily reference.
You can digitally collect and manage your RSVPs, meal preferences, and more.
You can quickly and easily update guests should their plans change.
Guests don't need separate links to your registries, those details can be added to your website.

Your save the date is often the first communication your guests will receive about your wedding. With that being said, you will want to include your URL on/with your save the date so guests know from the beginning where to head for more information about the event. THEN your formal wedding invitation is the logical place to re-share your URL, but there's no need to clutter up a beautiful invitation with a clunky link, so we suggest providing the link on a detail card that's included in the envelope.
